OUR WORLD
BABEL BESPOKE began in Budapest for a certain kind of man. Founded by Dorian Bábel, it was never meant to be explained, marketed, or made easy.
It’s for the few who can tell what they’re looking at.
The Babel world is built on patience, restraint, and beauty.
We value time, because the good things take it, and the best things prove themselves only through it.
There are easier ways to approach tailoring. There aren’t better ones.
WHAT WE DO
BABEL BESPOKE operates through private trunk shows in Budapest, held several times per year.
During these visits, our Neapolitan master tailor partner, Ettore de Cesare, is present to take new commissions and conduct fittings. Appointments are limited and allocated in advance. You’ll attend a private appointment to begin.
Our tailoring is rooted in the Naples of the 1960s, but shaped with an eye for the great British houses.
Neapolitan second-skin comfort with a more composed, armour-like silhouette. You’ll see it in our signatures: higher-rise trousers, a preference for double-breasted, and jackets kept clean and natural, without shoulder padding.
We’re also unapologetically obsessed with cloth, especially vintage fabrics. We collect them, hunt them, and when something is too good to keep on a shelf, we offer it to the right clients.
For now, commissions are taken only during trunk shows.
